How can Atfarm help me monitor my crops?

Atfarm provides regularly updated satellite imagery and biomass mapping tools to help you monitor crop health and optimize fertilizer application. Satellite Monitoring is available for free in the Atfarm web app and Atfarm mobile app.

Key benefits

With Atfarm's Satellite Monitoring, you can:

  • Make data-driven nitrogen fertilizer decisions based on reliable crop growth data
  • Create Variable N-Rate Application maps from biomass maps to apply nitrogen precisely
  • Identify areas with high growth potential and problem zones early
  • Recognize crop variability caused by weather conditions
  • Plan and prioritize field visits based on real-time field insights
  • Analyse progress and evaluate new practices or products
  • Monitor nitrogen efficiency and variable rate applications

How it works

Simply add your field to start monitoring biomass development. In Satellite Monitoring mode, you can choose from various satellite and biomass maps to view your field's biomass state on specific dates. Find details on all available satellite map types here and biomass map types here.

Atfarm uses data from the Sentinel-2 A and B satellites of the European Space Agency's Copernicus programme to calculate a vegetation index and produce biomass maps showing in-field variability. These maps can be used to plan fertiliser applications and create Variable N-Rate Application maps.

Compare dates

The comparison view allows you to compare your field between two selected dates to benchmark growth, identify anomalies and strategise actions.
