What do I have to choose: Advisor or Farmer? What's the difference?
When signing up to Atfarm, you choose your role: Farmer or Advisor. The user interfaces for farmer and advisor differ from each other, but the subscription fee stays the same for each role.
If you choose the role 'Farmer', you will be able to create one or more farms for yourself and group your fields under the farms. You can also invite members (e. g. staff) to have access to the farms for quick collaboration.
If you choose the role 'Advisor', you will be able to create clients and create and manage their farms. You are not creating the farms for yourself. You can invite your clients to view their farms. The client then chooses the role 'Farmer'.
What settings do I have to make as an advisor?
As an advisor you first create clients by entering the client's name, e-mail address and an optional client ID. Once you have created your first client, you create the farm for this client by entering the farm name and optional farm notes. Afterwards you can see your created client and farm and are able to add fields. In the farm settings you can update the farm details and manage (update, delete, invite additional users) the farm users of this client.
In the overview of all clients you can switch between your clients and create new clients. In the overview of the client's farms you can switch between the farms and add new farms.
How can I change my personal settings like name, role, country or language?
You can adjust your personal settings by following these steps:
- Open Atfarm.
- Click 'Account'.
- Click 'Personal information'.
- Now you can change your name, your role, your country and language.
- Click 'Save'.
Please note, that the feature to change your active role does not work for organization members as those always have to be advisors, nor for users with an active subscription as in some countries the subscription features depend on the role.
The change of your country is also only available if you do not have an active subscription yet.
If you already have an active subscription and therefore can no longer change the role or your country, it is possible for you to delete your account and create a new account with the same email address you used before. This way you can choose your role and country again.
Why is country and language listed separately in my personal information?
Since Atfarm creates VRA maps and nitrogen recommendations adapted to regional conditions, Atfarm needs to know in which country your fields are located. Independently of this, you can choose in which language your user interface should be displayed.
