Satellite Monitoring is available in the Atfarm web app and Atfarm mobile app. Once you've added your field, you can start monitoring biomass development. Follow the steps below to monitor the biomass in your field.

1) Select your field

1. From a computer: Log in to the Atfarm web app from your desktop browser. / On mobile: Log in to the Atfarm mobile app on your mobile device.
2. Select the desired farm in the farm overview.
3. Select the desired field in the field overview.
4. The field page opens with the latest biomass map of your field.

2) Select map and date

The monitoring mode shows your field on an Earth map (base map). You can select from a variety of satellite and biomass maps to visualize your field on a specific date. A new satellite image is available in Central Europe approximately every three to five days. Find details on all available satellite map types here and biomass map types here.

Proceed as follows:

1. Web app: Select the desired map type from the map layer tile on the bottom right. / Mobile app: Select the desired map type from the dropdown below the map.
   • Each biomass map uses a different color scale to show in-field variability which you can see below the map. Find details on all available satellite map types here and biomass map types here.
2. Web app: Select the desired map date with the date picker on the bottom left. / Mobile app: Select the desired map date below the map.
   • Because biomass maps can only be produced from clear satellite imagery, a cloud detection algorithm filters out cloudy images. Cloudy days are marked with a ☁️ icon. On mobile, click Show cloudy days to show cloudy images.

3) Monitor biomass

You can now view the selected map for the selected date. Here are some tips for monitoring your field:

• Each biomass map uses a different color scale to show in-field variability which you can see below the map. Find details on all available satellite map types here and biomass map types here.
• Web app: Move the map around by clicking and holding down the mouse and dragging the map. / Mobile app: Move the map with your finger.
• Web app: Zoom in and out of the map using the mouse wheel or the + and - buttons on the map. / Mobile app: Zoom in and out of the map by pinching the map.
