If a crop or variety is not available in the Atfarm Mobile App for the N-Analysis with the N-Tester, it means that we haven't collected enough data in field trials for a calibration for your country yet. Please stay tuned, since we are continuously adding more calibrations for crops and varieties.
If you are missing a certain crop, unfortunately, you can't use a calibration from a similar crop. Each crop needs a specific calibration to ensure the quality of the final nitrogen recommendation in kg/ha. But you can use a similar variety, if the desired variety is not in the list.

For measuring with the N-Tester Display, you need to enter crop type and variety directly into the device. But, since you select crop and variety directly in the Atfarm Mobile App, crop and variety data on the N-Tester Display is no longer required and supported. The Atfarm Mobile App uses an algorithm for each crop type and variety to calculate a nitrogen recommendation. In addition to the variety correction values, other important parameters are included in our algorithm. This means: If you can't find the desired crop/variety in your device, this is not a problem at all.
This is how you proceed:
Before you start the measurement with the N-Tester Display, the device will request some information. For the crop type and variety, simply enter any crop type/variety or choose 'Other'. Now perform 30 measurements in your crop. Afterwards the measured value is displayed directly on the N-Tester Display. Enter the N-Tester value into the Atfarm Mobile App on your smartphone, where you have selected the corresponding crop type and variety in advance. At the end you will receive the fertilisation recommendation on your smartphone.
