As clouds can interfere with creating variable rate application maps, Atfarm hides cloudy satellite images in the timeline by default.
But you can look at cloudy images and check whether these are actually cloud-free with the following procedure:
- Click on 'Show cloudy days' in the timeline below the field map.
- Now each satellite image regardless of cloud cover is shown in the timeline. Cloudy images are marked with a cloud icon. By clicking on 'Hide cloudy days', cloudy images will be hidden again.
- A biomass map generated from a cloudy satellite image will look like in the below picture. Switch the map view to 'Field view' by clicking on the map layer tile in the lower right corner of the map and selecting 'Field view'.
- You will see a recent satellite image at low resolution of the field. With this view you can check whether the image is really cloudy or cloud free. The satellite image should no longer have cloud cover and look similar to this image. Such image can now be used for the VRA map creation.
