The free Nutrition Plan provides an easy-to-understand summary of your field's nutrient demand and supply, soil analysis values, and product recommendations based on the expertise of Yara agronomists. The recommendations are split by nutrient, for each growth stage and for the full growth cycle, making it easy to plan your fertiliser strategy.
Based on your crop's nutrient needs, soil quality, and other critical parameters, the one-page Nutrition Plan is designed to help you achieve your specified target yield. It enables you to make informed decisions about crop nutrition, improving efficiency and profitability while protecting the environment.
The Nutrition Plan feature is available in the Atfarm web app in your desktop browser. Once you've added your field, you can generate customisable Nutrition Plans for it. The data from active Nutrition Plans will be considered in other calculations within Atfarm such as Variable N-Rate Application or field weather.
Please note:
The Nutrition Plans don't take into account local legal restrictions. Please check your local regulations and guidelines and adapt the recommendations accordingly.
How is the plan calculated?
The Nutrition Plan calculation uses crop and region specific calibrations and product preferences. If the option to create a Nutrition Plan isn't available for a field, the region or crop type is not yet supported. Find here the crops for which you can create Nutrition Plans.
Nutrition Plans are calculated based on your entered crop, soil, and organic fertiliser data, including:
- Target yield
- Annual rainfall
- Liquid fertiliser
- Previous grass
- Sowing date
- Pre-crop
- Soil type
- Soil analysis nutrient values
- Organic fertilisers to be applied
The soil parameters are related to the location of your field which can impact nutrient availability. You can add your own soil analysis results and then select the field's soil analysis summary to calculate a more accurate Nutrition Plan. In the soil analysis summary, we track your field's soil fertility over time, allowing you to review historical soil data and plan future testing and field measures.
If you don't add your own values, we'll use soil nutrient values from the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) for the calculation. Yara has partnered with AHDB and uses their Nutrient Management Guide (RB209) to increase the accuracy of the Nutrition Plans.
What can I see in the Nutrition Plan?
With your provided inputs, the exact nutrient amount needed to achieve the target yield is calculated, creating a Nutrition Plan for the full crop cycle. This plan is broken down into specific advice for each growth phase to optimise fertiliser and nutrient effects.
The Nutrition Plan includes:
- Product plan: Products recommended for each growth stage
- Summary: All products for the field divided into mineral and organic products
- Nutrient demand and supply: Total demand and supply of macro and micro nutrients for the field
- Calculation information: Soil analysis interpretation and input parameters used to calculate the plan
You can customise and fine-tune the Nutrition Plan by adding, removing, or modifying recommended products, and adjusting field, soil, and crop details. The Nutrition Plan is immediately recalculated. Furthermore, you can download and share the Nutrition Plan.
What can I see in the Nutrition Plan overview?
The Nutrition Plan overview in Atfarm shows a summary of all plans created and recommended products across your farm.
The Nutrition Plan overview includes:
- Plans: View and manage Nutrition Plans created for all fields on the farm
- Products: View an aggregated list of all products recommended across all Nutrition Plans for the farm based on active Nutrition Plans
