With the Atfarm Mobile App you can use Atfarm everywhere you go. You can quickly download the Atfarm Mobile App from the app store on your smartphone or tablet for free. The Atfarm Mobile App has almost all the functionalities of the web application and can also serve as a terminal.
Turn your smartphone into a terminal
With the Atfarm Mobile App you can variably apply nitrogen, even without having a variable rate controller on your fertiliser spreader. Your smartphone will turn into a terminal. All you need to do is export your created application maps from the desktop application to the Atfarm Mobile App and then select the driver mode and - depending on the available technology - either fertilise by speed adjustment or by spread rate.
The Atfarm Mobile App uses your GPS location to determine the application rate, so that you can manually adjust the flow rate or travel speed as you drive (if possible, without changing PTO speeds).
In the case of speed adjustment, the Atfarm app detects which zone of the application map your machine is in and displays the speed to travel at to get the desired result.
If your fertiliser spreader has a terminal with manual control system, the driver can adjust the fertilisation by means of spread rate. The Atfarm app then shows the driver how much to manually increase or decrease the spread rate on the spreader terminal based on the application map.
The tractor and spreader may have technical limitations, but this solution will still enable many more farmers to fertilise site-specifically.
Get nitrogen recommendations with Photo Analysis and N-Tester-Analysis
To optimise your fertilisation even more, you can get on-field nitrogen recommendations for winter barley, winter wheat and oil seed rape in early growth stages by using the Photo Analysis. You simply take a photo of your plants with your smartphone camera to analyse the crop nitrogen uptake and get a nitrogen recommendation within seconds. In cereals this usually ranges from BBCH 20 to 29 and for oil seed rape up to 60 cm of plant height. For oil seed rape the Atfarm Mobile App determines a nitrogen recommendation. For cereals you will receive the nitrogen uptake.
If you would like to get on-field nitrogen recommendations for more crop types in later growth stages, you can use the N-Tester-Analysis in the Atfarm Mobile App. To use this feature, you need our N-Tester BT that is connected via Bluetooth® wireless technology to the Atfarm Mobile App.
For more detailed information about our N-Tester BT, please read our N-Tester section.
Please note:
For the Photo Analysis the available calibrations for crop types, the measuring method and the measurement output vary from country to country. For the N-Tester Analysis the available calibrations for crop types and the measuring method vary from country to country. We are always working on extending the measurable crop types for you.
