How can I add or edit fields?

After a farm is created, you can add fields to your farm by uploading or drawing.

Uploading fields

Fields can be uploaded in Atfarm by importing shapefiles. Please make sure to have your shapefile as a .zip file. Atfarm also accepts xmlgmlkmlkmz or shapefile. It is important to keep the maximum and minimum field size when uploading fields.

You typically get a file with your field boundaries from the local authority that registers field boundaries. Otherwise you might be able to download them from your farm management software.

To upload your fields in Atfarm, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Atfarm.
  2. Select the farm you want to add a field to.
  3. Click 'Add field'.
  4. Click 'Upload fields'.
  5. Click 'Select your files' and choose the files to be uploaded from your computer or locate the files on your computer and drag and drop them into the displayed page.
  6. You can now see the field outline on the map. Please check if the location of your field is correct. If not, click the arrows below to change the coordinate system until the field outline matches the coordinate system.
  7. Click 'Confirm'.
  8. You get a note, whether the upload has been successful or not. If successful, you get a summary of the number of fields you uploaded and the total hectares.

If you need support for the file upload, please contact our support team. We can help you with the import. To speed up the support process, please attach your file with your fields.

To delete a certain point on the boundary, please follow these steps:
