Atfarm allows you to remotely check the biomass status of your fields for free with regularly updated satellite images and different biomass maps. The satellite images are indexed with various vegetation indices to produce the biomass maps.
The Yara N-Sensor Index is what sets Atfarm apart. Using crop- and region-specific calibrations of the Yara N-Sensor Index, Atfarm generates optimised biomass maps to show variability in crop development, even at advanced growth stages. Both the optimised map and the N-uptake map can be automatically exported to John Deere Operations Center™ at your preferred update interval, so you can easily monitor biomass changes in your John Deere Operations Center™ account.
Please note:
- Biomass images can only be exported for fields that have a crop type assigned to them. Read here how to assign crop types.
Proceed as follows to set the biomass update interval:
- Log in to Atfarm from your desktop browser.
- The connection to John Deere can only be made from the Atfarm web app in your desktop browser, not from the Atfarm mobile app on your mobile device.
- Click Account in the left navigation bar.
- Click the desired update interval under Biomass data sync:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Turn off
- The biomass upload from Atfarm to John Deere Operations Center™ will take place at midnight Central European Time (CET) at the interval you've selected.
